Importing & Exporting

Amber supports importing cards from other spaced repetition apps and exporting your collection.

Importing

From Anki

Export your Anki deck as a .apkg file, then upload it through the Amber web app’s upload view.

From Mochi

Export your Mochi deck as a .mochi file and upload it the same way.

Format support

The importer handles:

• Plain text front/back cards
• Cards with code snippets
• Basic formatting

Tags from your source deck are preserved where possible.

Exporting

You can export your entire card collection from the web app. This is useful for backups or migrating to another tool.

No lock-in. Your cards are always yours to take with you.
